Sterling Bond

Host / Executive Producer

Sterling Bond, one of the hosts of Car Time TV, was born in Houston, Texas. He became interested in cars at a very early age while watching Formula One and Nascar races on television with his father, Ward Bond, which led to the father-son challenge of who was best, Alain Prost or Ayrton Senna, a debate that still rages today.  By the age of 4 he could recognize and name just about any car he saw. The first car he ever drove was his grandfather’s 1976 Ford Thunderbird at the age of 7. At the age of 15 he was pumping gas and changing oil at a local gas station in the small town of Liberty, Texas. Being around automobiles on a daily basis just fueled his passion even more.

Sterling is also a musician who studied under one the most well known metal guitarist in the world, Rusty Cooley. He took his talent and played for Mark Gordon as well as many well known gospel artists and bands such as opening up for Kurt Carr, Ernest Pugh and Kathy Taylor to name a few. During this time he was working behind the scenes of the TV series “Guitar Asylum TV” giving him the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the world’s top rock, blues and metal guitarists.

A man of many talents, he dabbled in modeling and a passion for acting as he appeared as a credited actor in ‘Pick Axe Murders III’, and he pursues his passion for film today.

Having grown up with a father (Ward W. Bond) that excelled as television producer and host, it is no wonder that the talented musician/actor followed in the same footsteps. Sterling came up with the idea of Car Time TV, inspired by his uncle (Car Time TV’s Donald Bond) race-inspired ’69 Porsche 911E and his countless hours of studying automobiles, thus creating this exciting new television series.
